Just when we thought the worst was over, we listen to the news and cry in our hearts. To have an earthquake AND Tsunami is already bad enough, and now with the danger of radiation and nuclear warnings? What is this?! Can’t heaven just make all these stop already?! Looking at the death toll increasing by the hundreds and thousands each day is frightening. I can’t imagine myself to be in Japan to see my country in such a devastating state.
On the other hand, it touches my heart to see that people around the world are chipping in to help their bit. No country stands alone in this case. I visualise the people in every country holding hands surrounding the globe as we all stand together as one. One world.
Celebrities are saying their prayers, selling items to raise funds. Now FANS are also doing the same.
I’m a member of Soshified, an international forum on Girls’ Generation, K pop group SNSD. Members are donating rare and exclusive items up for auction. Autograph CDs, signed exclusive goodies and all! If you are a SONE (SNSD fan) or just a k pop fan who wants to donate, you can visit here!
In Singapore, I believe there are more groups who are doing their part. For Soshified SG, there are having a mini bazaar this coming weekend for Singapore fans to buy k pop items (include albums, posters, official & unofficial goods), or you can simply donate any amount to it! Please do follow (@soshifiedsg) for more details. You can play a part by contributing some of your items too! All proceeds will go directly to Red Cross Singapore who will then transfer all the items to Japan.
SHINee World SG is also joining in! There are having a meetup today & Saturday to collect donations from SHINee fans. The minimum amount to donate is $2, and you will have a chance to write in a message book which will definitely be passed to the SHINee boys. Read here for more details and don’t forget to follow (@shineeworldsg) for their updates.
And! If you’re a dancer or someone who just enjoys dancing, dancers in Singapore are also organising an event to raise funds for Japan! They are looking for dancers, backstage crew, admin work… They said it’s gonna be BIG, and I’m really anticipating it! Visit their Fb page and twitter for details and updates!
Or not, just donate to Red Cross
By eating less for a day can help save lives. Let’s all do our part and hope for the better. #prayforjapan #helpjapan
