Smallest and lightest camera to date.
As a DSLR user, my focus on camera shopping shifted from digital cameras to expensive macro lenses, sometimes even lomo and fisheye cameras. Surprisingly, the Sony Cyber-shot WX100 caught my eye while flipping through the papers. Perhaps it was the colours that attracted me, but I was so impressed with the designs and functions!
Deemed as the world’s smallest and lightest cameras in its class, theDSC-WX100 take full advantage of newly-developed Advanced Aspherical (AA) lens, which dramatically reduces camera body thickness to as slim as 17.5mm, while increasing optical performance for amazing image quality.
The new 10x optical lens (25-250mm) captures wide expanses and dramatic zoom shots, enhanced by Clear Image Zoom for 20x zoom while resolution is kept. Thanks to the Extra High Sensitivity technology, noise of the image has been reduced to 1/6 without affecting image quality. Not forgetting the 18.2 megapixel image sensor!
The camera also features quicker autofocus approx. 0.13 seconds in daylight and in low-light conditions and advanced Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation for blur-free shooting in challenging conditions.
