Thank you omy.sg for inviting me down to the Re-opening of GV Jurong Point! Together with other bloggers, we were able to catch the blockbuster movie.. Avengers! It’s an awesome movie by the way, with good casts, nice set and costumes, great story and pretty amazing graphics there.

For me, what I enjoyed most about the new cinema are the theatre doors. Forget those squeeky ones or the heavy, noisy pushed-out doors that interrupts your visual pleasure. As I had to rush to the toilet during the show, I realised that the door was what attracted my attention. Its easy to open, both from the inside and outside the theatrette and it’s so ‘quiet’! (if you get what I mean…)

Interviewing a blogger

The ever so- popular Aunty Lucy (played by actor Dennis Chew) was present at the opening too! She or rather, he did some interviews with the other bloggers and did her funny ‘so embarassing!’ movements and all. Funny! Reminded me of my filming days in MediaCorp.

I went back on Saturday to grab stuffs I could before watching the 2nd last show of Romeo & Juliet. During my ride there, I told myself to stop at $50. Guess what, I bought $80 worth of craft items. -.- That’s not all, the lady in front of me spent a total of $400+! What’s more, overheard that she spent $350 the day before. WHAT?!

Settled for 2 in the end

Look at what I bought! I initially added 2 whole booklets of craft papers and 5 of those pre-cut alphabet stickers, till I had to forgo them for my tool kit, which I thought was pretty worth it since there was a 50% discount. I always wanted to try using an eyelet.

Go! If you are into crafts like me too! I know lots of girls like to do cards/scrapbooking and all. My only advice? Be prepared to queue and bring your membership card!!

Sonny Silva and Ken Carlstrom, now advisors to the Vietnam Lost Films series premiering in April at the HISTORY Channel. I was quite nervous beforehand as it was my first phone interview with anyone as part of my job. It kinda involved much multi-tasking as I had to listen, converse, and record down the conversation. And I meant to hand write the conversation. There was no way I could record via the office phone. Anyway, there is always a first time and this first experience was nothing but amazing.

So glad the reception was not too bad and I could hear the both of them quite clearly, until they started overlapping each other. Lol. They recounted their stories and how tough it was fighting a war. As our conversation continued, I was more relaxed and really absorbing their words of wisdom and listening to stories which I don’t hear often. Many Singaporeans know about the World War 2 and how it happened, but not many people actually knew that a Vietnam War existed! Being able to listen from people who experienced it first-hand was just different from what the museum guides will tell you. Everything just seems credible and to a level that touches deep into your heart.

Anyway, isn’t this just so cool? Like how the ancient officials used to seal their letters with wax. Now I can have my own sealed wax with the letter “F”!

If its good, Ill Polly get more coloured wax. Purple? Pink? Or should I get a blue instead.

Oh! I had a choice to add 1 more letter at a discounted price, so I got one for my mummy! Nice?

I’m just lacking a special occasion to try it! Can’t wait.

For the 2nd year running, the iLight Marina Bay Sands is the first sustainable light festival in Singapore! Not only it’s my first time attending this festival with friends, it’s my first ever low light photography shoot! Was pretty psyched about it.

So I went out with my camera and tripod, walking around Esplanade to Marina Bay Sands, snapping shots as if I had an unlimited SD card space. Was adviced to use RAW but I took with size L instead.

Playing around with the AP & Shutter Speed, (ISO) too actually. It’s kind of fun! But if you are looking at taking those amazing nice shots like how the professionals do, it isn’t easy. Take some time. I’m still trying to find that too!

I guess it’s almost a month since I last blogged. Well, March has been a VERY busy month for me.

With school, projects, work, dance and theatre, my schedules were jam packed the past few weeks.

BUT… it’s always an amazing journey for me and finding the limit my body can stretch to, is something I see as a challenge. Some posts coming up soon…

For now.. it’s WORK work WORK!

Iknow I’m about a year late, but I just caught this on my television while I was channel surfing and the title ‘DANCE’ definitely caught my eye, wanting to know more. It’s Singapore’s cable, you don’t really expect much. Really. Anyway, the next thing I knew, I’m hooked on this show. Alright, I admit I kind of press the forward button for some parts on the show but I also rewind some parts that I absolutely loved. Especially during their dance scenes.

Oh My, I was impressed and so inspired. I know I’m no contemporary dancer nor someone who can turn and swirl gracefully like they did, but I was moved by their performances. I love to pop and proud to be a popper! (in-the-making) This to me is dance. The hardship, the pain and patience dancers go through.

Just check it out on youtube! Here is one of the performances that I caught today and was tearing along. This is also so because I lost a mentor & friend 3 days ago.

Oh! My favourite crew member is Kherington! The one on the bottom right of the photo and the lead dancer of this video. Another dancer (besides Heather Morrison) that I admire a lot.

I remembered that day to be one of the coldest day we experience in the 18 days tour. Ssamziegil at Insadong is a nice place, known for it’s artsy style of alleys join together? Or something like that. The stuffs on sale are unique and located near the heart of Seoul, it’s a nice place to walk about and experience Korea. Right. If the wind wasn’t that strong, I’ll probably enjoy it more.

This is how cold it was: after walking around for about 3 hours, my hands beneath the gloves were almost completely numb. My feet were as bad though I had heat-tech leggings and socks on. It was so cold I thought I could have some kind of brain freeze or something! When it’s too cold, it isn’t fun. The burning hot drinks we bought quickly became cold within a mere few sips. it was THAT cold, i swear.

It was nearing 7 that we decided to head to Dongdaemun to have our dinner! Walked around to look at shops, eateries and all. A little small hut, out came this aunty (ahjumma) that was promoting how good her food was. So alright! We went in and I have to say…. the food is good! Nice! But expensive. You know you’ll spend quite a lot when you’re on a overseas trip. Food was worth it so no complains.
OH yes! Manoffin! My favourite muffin shop! It’s located at most of the train stations and their cupcakes/muffins are really delicious! They were having some Christmas theme muffins and we bought 2 to share. Chocolate of course! Loved it! Won’t forget this place.

Walked around dongdaemun, AM PM tower, the Doota (which isn’t cheap at all…) and some other place. That’s where we found jovis’s talent of bargaining. Boy she’s good! I didn’t buy much though the hoodies and sweatpants were all so tempting!! Another reason why I love the cold weather is because I get to wear all the nice hoodies!

By the way, suaku as it sounds, I love the concept of the T-money card! It’s like your transportation card but it comes in a keychain form. You can purchase it at G25 or something like that. They ranges from simple designs (like the one we bought) to the cutest design of Rilakkuma and even Hello Kitty. Of course, you pay more for the nicer ones. Honestly, a simple on will do. You still gotta top up and use it! Same function!

So that’s about for our 2nd day. – MILKIS IS AWESOME!

You’ve seen bungee jumps, skydive and all. What makes this special is it happened during the New Year and it’s the LARGEST Base jumping attempt in Singapore. The view of Singapore from the Marina Bay Sands Skypark is sensational, with people swimming and enjoying the breeze.

7 professional jumpers were amazing with what they do best. The adrenaline pumping video gets better after the 1st minute when the fun starts.
