You’ve seen bungee jumps, skydive and all. What makes this special is it happened during the New Year and it’s the LARGEST Base jumping attempt in Singapore. The view of Singapore from the Marina Bay Sands Skypark is sensational, with people swimming and enjoying the breeze.

7 professional jumpers were amazing with what they do best. The adrenaline pumping video gets better after the 1st minute when the fun starts.

There ARE stuffs to do in Singapore.

I believe these are why Chinese New Year is such a grand festival for the Chinese around the world.

1) We get to wear our new clothes! – Who doesn’t like new stuffs right? Though the shopping can be quite a hassle, bearing in mind that we are Strongly advised to wear bright colours, hopefully nearer to the shades of red.

2) New Year goodies! – From the throat killer Ba Kwa to the sweets, nuts, kuehs and all the crispy and enjoyable little treats.

3) Ang paos! – Come’on, for all the singles out there, this is the time to celebrate and embrace singlehood! We receive the ang paos from our seniors and who doesn’t love $$? But remember that it’s not the amount inside that little red envelope but the thought and meaning behind the tradition of ang baos.

4) Holidays! – Away from work, school and all that. It’s a time to celebrate and enjoy!

Flight experience.
I personally enjoy plane rides in general and experiencing take off and landing are the best parts in the whole experience. Food provided was pretty decent, not fantastic but edible. I just wished they had prepared more varieties.

Yes, during our flight to Incheon, there was a flight attendant, or perhaps the supervisor of them was behaving like a total jerk. Didn’t belt up the ENTIRE time and the way he sat was so rude, with legs apart, pressed against the partition. I’m not paranoid or really cared if he should buckle up, but as part of the crew (or since it’s someone of high position level), shouldn’t he set a good example or at least respect the rules that the company set? Oh well, Hi China Eastern, if you happen to stumble upon this post, please go and do some thinking and re-train your staffs in respecting your own company.

The stopover wasn’t that long, perhaps about 3 hours? A good estimated duration for a stopover should at least be 2 hours? Because when you arrive from your first flight, plus all the waiting at the checkpoint counters and security checks. 2 hours is a decent timing, enough for toilet breaks and whats not. Don’t really have time to sit down to order some food and eat in that 2 hours, but some snacks while walking around will keep your tummy from growling.

- Back to Korea.

Yes. We had someone to fetch us from the airport to our guesthouse, Namsan Guesthouse, located at Myeondong.

The rooms there are pretty small, or should I say, REALLY small, but I guess the interaction with the other guests are what attracts people there. Oh yes, the toilet there, or at least in our room was quite bad. We resorted to buy a bottle of air freshener at Diaso, it turned out to be one of the worst smelling lavender freshener in our lives. Yes, we lived with these pungent scents in our little cubicles for the 18 days. It’s a small hill up to the guesthouse but bearable.

One thing I love about the location is that we were near this 24 hours cheap eatery bistro-like restaurant. Introducing… Kimbap Cheonguk! The place for tourists who wants to save some $$. It’s good, fast and definitely cheap. In that 18 days, we’ve been there at least 6 times?

I love the weather in Seoul! It was winter then and the lowest we experienced was -11? It was quite cold at some points, especially when it’s dark. The cold wind that blows against your face are the worst, which explains why we bought face masks. Trust me, it’s important. The best friend after face mask is heat pads! Don’t underestimate the power of those little packets made up of soft squishy soil, it really helps when you’re near human freezing point.

How was it? It’s pretty cool and interesting, but the fad dies off after a few sips.

Oh! the little chocolate balls in it disappears after a while. Managed to taste them too!

well, afterall it says: Dip in milk and sip sip sip!

Worth a try as its not that expensive, but if you want some chocolate milk just go to your nearest shop ti buy a bottle.

Now that it’s been about 4 days since I’ve stepped back into the hot and humid little island, I’ve learn to appreciate the cleanliness and variety of food that Singapore has. On hindsight, I felt I should have bought more kimchi as the one at home is depleting FAST!

Some highlights during the trip: The funny moments and nonsense vlog that Jovis was in charge of, the whacking and spamming of idol albums and merchandises at the Myeongdong & Everysing shop. Not forgetting the 2 Gayo Daejun 2011 (SBS, MBC) that we managed to attend and watch the whole production live! Oh yes! The shopping and food in Korea, the cheap taxi fares in Jeonju, the not-so-powerful wifi in our guesthouse too! Petite France, ssamziegil, Gary’s Restaurant, the ‘architectural’ artsy side of us, taking buildings at Apgujeong and lots more! Oh! How can I forget? FAME musical by Tiffany from SNSD! (I still don’t agree with that kiss btw…) I have so many things I want to share so stay tuned! Here are some photos. *Whisper* This is just the beginning.

One look at it and what’s so special about this headphone? For me, I was so intrigued and loved the colours that it has! A range of astonishingly beautiful colours that no one can resist! It’s like little sweet colourful macrons on your ears!

Secondly, I love the ‘Sharing’ aespect of this headphones. Ever had this problem where you and your friends wanna listen the same music from a music device? And only to realise that the sound quality music experience was compromised as each only used a side of the earphones? Yep! Urbanears put a stop to that problem! Just plug the other earphones/headphones into the extra jack and viola! Both of you get to listen to the same music at the same time!

And oh! It’s compatible with iphone, Samsung and other mobile devices so you need not plug it out to answer calls. The only problem I have so far is that when I used my headphone to converse through my phone, the volume of the other party is pretty soft although it’s on maximum on my phone. In crowded places, I don’t think using this would be a good idea though.

Oh! I also realized that many Kpop celebrities are having one of those too! Cool!

The headphones have been seen on idols such as Joo Yeon of Jewelry, Dara of 2NE1, Hyomin of T-ara, Donghae of Super Junior, Hyoyeon of SNSD, Jang Geun Suk, Nichkun of 2PM and much more!

Just a short update..

Though it’s just the mid of this festive month, so many things have been done these few weeks!
Was really busy with school, concert hopping, musicals and pretty much making sure I’m all good for the Long awaited Korea trip! (Yessss, I’m flying off this Sat!)

Anyway, here are some short updates about my life the past few days. Will be posting up more detailed post with pictures soon..

Attended MAMA awards 2011! Amazing! Though we bought the cheapest tickets (Restricted View), I honestly enjoyed myself during that star gazing night. So glad this prestigious award was held in Singapore.

Went for Sundown festival, DBSK fan party in Singapore and not forgetting GIRLS’ GENERATION tour in Singapore! Omg! It was the most epic concert that gave me entertainment, enjoyment & tears of joy all on the same night. I couldn’t have asked for more. Will be posting up pics soon! Gotta edit some due to my not-too-good photography skills.

Oh! Did I mention? I finally bought my DSLR! 600D! And boy I’m Lovin this addictive hobby and my new little toy!

Caught Aladdin on Tues and Crazy Christmas the day after! So much to share with you guys too.

Introducing…. Molecular Gastronomy

In short, its AMAZING! Mind blowing in the way how food can be changed and people’s perception on it. I have this urge to do a mini thesis on this! (without the science part) So I started Google-ing and resulted in 20 tabs relating to Molecular Gastronomy. And behold… the article that caught my eye instantly “Molecular gastronomy in Singapore: Alive and bubbling” – YATTA! ME! ME! How can I NOT know about this?!

4 restaurants were named in that article and I’m definitely gonna go to these restaurants one of these days and get my mind blown LIVE! Don’t worry, I’ll be spamming pictures when I see it.

Have you guys heard of the sketchbook project? It’s basically like a concert tour, but with sketchbooks! I wanted to get one last year but was pretty reluctant to. So I decided to give it a try and get one myself! It’s only 25USD for a book and once you receive it, just let your imagination flow!
