Inspirational Vietnam war soldiers

Inspirational Vietnam war soldiers I was asked to do a phone interview a few weeks back by my editor, to interview 2 person I barely heard of. Only knowing that they were soldiers who fought hard at the Vietnam war during 1960s. That’s all I knew. And with some research done, I came up with some questions to ask them. My answers I got from the duo were more than expected. Listening to them who recounted the war and told me stories like a grandfather telling their granddaughter, I was...

Buds with Mr Alvin Tan!

Buds with Mr Alvin Tan! Today’s session at Buds was really an inspiring one for me. I always felt that it was a privilege for me to be selected as one of Buds Youth Theatre ‘student’. It’s not a school nor a class, but each session/workshop makes me not only a better actress, but a better person. Honestly speaking, I don’t think I’m one of the best people there, but I walk out every Sunday after each session feeling smarter and have gained...

Life and death

Oh the irony. We know the exact date when we are born yet we have no idea when this life ends. When experiences turned to memories, hopes turned to dreams. I can’t find a word that accurately describe my feelings now. The feeling of lost yet a sense of guilt and confusion. Guess I have my pathetic moments too. I had an explosion of emotions earlier today in the bus, good thing I was seated at the back and it was rather empty. So no one really saw...

Little angel: Kenadie Jourdin-Bromley

In my past entry, I blogged about Juliana wetmore, the girl without a face and yesterday, I was introduced to another angel, known to be the smallest girl in the world – Kenadie Jourdin-Bromley. Kenadie stands 33 inches tall and weighs 17 pounds, (83.8cm, 7.7kg) roughly the size of an 18-month-old toddler. But this little girl is 7. Kenadie has an extremely rare form of dwarfism classified as primordial dwarfism, which means, unlike most little...

Future

This posts will be thrown to the random catergory. It’s another emo-flo post. More about life discovery I guess. These few days were an amazing journey for me. Just 2 days of interesting stuffs and it really got me thinking. The Future. What’s my future? What’s really in for me? What am I going to do? These are the few questions that I was really thinking hard during those ‘me’ times with my ipod in my ears. Assisting in...

Japan, stay strong!

Japan, stay strong! On the 11 March 2011, a 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit Tokyo Japan. Followed by a major Tsunami. Tsunami alerts were triggered in many other countries such as Hawaii, Philippines, Taiwan, etc. I was looking through the photos and videos of this devastating news and it really breaks my heart. I do not have any relatives or friends residing in Japan, but Mother Nature have once again shown its power. No man in this world can oppose it, no man in this world...

Are you guilty?

Are you Guilty? I’ve asked myself this question a couple of times in a day. But today mother told me a story that I know I’ll never forget. Shop and save is having this promotion whereby you spent $15 and you’ll earn 1 stamp. Collect a certain amount of stamps to buy some household items at a discounted price. This old lady who stands just outside the supermarket for hours, pleading every shopper she sees for their stamp. My mom goes to...
