No introduction is needed for this group. With it’s raging popularity worldwide, Big Bang is easily one of THEE idol bands in Korea, bagging awards locally and internationally. And now, it’s time for Singapore fans to witness the magic by these five amazing stars.
You can read my article (with photos) when they performed for F1 Singapore 2011 here!
The Alive Tour 2012 is BIGBANG’s first world tour and is set to visit 22 cities in 14 countries, with Singapore being the first stop in South East Asia. These Korean Hip-Hop maestros will be performing on our shores on 28th September at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Comprising of leader G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, BIGBANG has garnered much praise and respect from music industry experts. Touted as the “revolutionary group of Korean music wave” and described by Billboard as “unstoppable”, the members also achieved tremendous success with their solo activites. G-Dragon, T.O.P. and Seungri drove fans wild when they performed to a 35,000-strong crowd last year at the 2011 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix. As the first headlining entertainment act of the three-day event, GD&TOP and Seungri enthralled audiences and showcased the best of Korean pop to a global audience at the Padang main stage.

*Tips to Get Your Tickets Amongst the Frenzy:
Please note that this is NOT a solution and it MAY NOT be the best way nor can I guarantee you that you’ll get your tickets. But in case of a frenzy, which I pretty much predict, here are some ways / methods you can try. I used this method to purchase my Girls’ Generation (SNSD) Singapore Tour tickets last year. You may not get the best seats but hope this helps!
Sistic Counters:
1) I had friends who camped overnight at Sistic Counters to purchase tickets. Some who went at 10pm the day after mentioned that there were already a queue formed.
2) I believe location matters. Popular places like Vivo City, Raffles City or Plaza Sing are best to be avoided. Go through the list of Sistic counters in Singapore and try and spot places.
3) It can be quite scary when it hits 10am and I heard stories of people flaring up, scolding and some even jumped queue. Be prepared for that.
Online:
1) Camp at your computer from 9.30am. Ask friends to do the same thing. I had 3 friends on ‘standby’ too.
2) I had 3 computers on with sistic homepage, opening in 3 different browsers. IE, Firefox & Chrome
3) At about 9.55, constantly refresh the homepage, as it time gets near, don’t stop and continue to refresh.
4) The craziness starts at 10am and if you page hangs or it doesn’t load, don’t fret. CONTINUE!! Remember, you are fighting with hundreds of other online buyers and Sistic outlets across Singapore.
5) Sometimes, you have to give it some time to let the page load. If it does, don’t click refresh unless you think the page is hanged.
6) There are cases where you get to the page to type in your details and choose the seats, but once you proceed, it goes back to the homepage. I know it can be rather frustrating, but DON’T GIVE UP! It’s not the right time to ‘complain’ and whine.
7) Try and try. Don’t be too fussy with seats and just grab!
8) If you’re into the page where you are allowed to key in the credit card details, it’s one step further to getting tickets. After all these, pray and hope it goes through. Do Not Refresh when it’s processing.
9) TADAH!
If you receive your confirmation page, means you got it! Congrats!
Then again, sometimes it might be luck. Oh! and yes, please remember your Sistic account details! You don’t want to forget your pw in the middle of the frenzy! Good Luck! I hope you get your tickets and I hope I get mine too!
