Hi, I’m Flora but most people call me Flo.  Well, some call me ‘花姐’. Why? Don’t ask. It’s a long story.

A graduate from Singapore Polytechinc (Diploma in Media and Communication) and an undergraduate from Murdoch University (Journalism). I am glad to be part of 3 seasons of oktoLIVE! an infotainment show dedicated to kids. From being an assistant student producer (S1) to  a student producer (S2) and finally an assistant producer (S3). I have learnt a lot, made new friends through the years. Being able to be the 1st ever 3D production crew in Singapore makes me feel proud too! Occasionally indulging in theatre productions.

What are some of your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy life in general, or rather I enjoy appreciating life and the wonders one can bring.

For one thing, I know I definitely can’t live without my phone, music and dance.

What is the most common misconception people have on you?

People tell me that if I don’t smile, I look really fierce and somewhat gives that ‘want to give you one big tight slap for no reason’ kind of face.

I’m nice. Really. I take some time to adapt. You’ll see the change from “Omy, she is so quiet and shy and sweet” to “OMG! Why in the world did I make friends with you?” ( In a good way of course.)

Why http://floraiyeo.com?

It is also known as http://florrah.wordpress.com. Well, I initially thought of creating a word that rhymes with ‘Flora’, and the word ‘floor’ came to my mind. Rah was just to utilize a little of my creativity in my link. (Nah, it’s because I couldn’t think of a English word that rhymes or even sound close to ‘rah’)

But http://floraiyeo.com is because my full name is Flora Isobel Yeo, therefore

What is your purpose of creating this blog?

Blogging is something which I look forward to daily. It’s pretty much about the joy in blogging and sharing information and experiences with everyone.

It was once part of homework, part of scores. But now, its a passion, a platform for me to be a part of this World Wide Web. Blogging has brought me to a whole entire new level of getting hold of information and a sensational sphere of joy.

It was once just an avenue for me to rant and substituting my enemies names to ambiguous ones, cursing them ‘openly’. But soon when the blogging habit kicks in, reading comments from people, I have that motivation/obligation to share information with more people.

What can we expect from this blog?

I like to blog about the recent activities happening around the world, news that made jaws dropped, mended and dropped again. Well, it also includes my rants and stuffs around me for the nosy (aka kaypo) peeps. Films, videos, theatre, web, pop culture, health, k pop, and just about anything and everything that catches my eye.

What are your thoughts on social media and the future?

Through the advancement in years on the web, social media and evolved from a personal level into channels for a lucrative business. And I definitely want to be a part of it.

Social media has never failed to awe me with it’s subsets of powerful information and statical data. A silent medium with millions of minions supporting it.

Singapore. Yes. That small little red dot I call home.

I heard you have some weird hobbies. Do you mind sharing?

Of course not! I do admit I have weird hobbies.  Here are some that really interest me (and my friends) a lot.

- I enjoy ‘repairing’ mechanical pencils. ( Till date: 52 60 65?)

- I really really LOVE craftwork. Cutting, pasting, scrap-booking, designing, Origami, drawing, colouring, all sorts! 1/4 of my room are all my art and craft materials.

- I inspire to be a ‘copier’ where I am able to create an EXACT same masterpiece by hand. A replica artist they call it?

- And Yes! I love the smell of mint money. I mean, who doesn’t?!

- And I’m a Kpop fan. More of a SONE (SNSD) and B2ty (B2ST).
