F1 Concert in Singapore – Charice Pempengco & Big Bang!

The annual highly anticipated Formula 1 night race in Singapore was held from the 23rd September to the 25th. 3 days of adrenaline pumping race was seen as beautiful race cars zoomed past our Singapore roads for most to enjoy. I’m so glad the race was held in Singapore as it also meant that there will be an awesome lineup of artistes performing for the F1 concert!

I’m was jumping for joy as I collected my tickets as it was like a key to watch Charice Pempengco and Big Bang live performance! To be exact, it was Seungri, GD & Top from Big Bang. I was extremely excited for Charice’s amazing vocals and GDTOP – ‘High High’ performance! Apart from the terrible waiting in a humid mosh pit, the rest was unbelievable!

Thank you Singtel & F1 organizers for bringing Charice back to Singapore! I last saw her live performance was during the Singapore Idol Finals last year? (View my blog post about it here) and boy was I amazed and so grateful as it felt like a dream come true. This time, Charice is back with her new songs and her very own band!

She opened the concert with ‘Louder’ and fans were all singing to the song! I was busy screaming and taking photos of the gorgeous girl. At some point of time, I was just so mesmerized by her vocals that I just had to focus my attention to her and stop snapping photos. To listen and appreciate her beautiful and powerful voice. I was hoping she would sing ‘Note to God’ though. Charice amazes her audience whenever she belts out a ballad number and her screams deserve the applause by all. I was screaming like a true fan as usual.

I don’t care about what others say about her, from what I’ve seen, Charice is humble and she kept thanking everyone and F1 for she said she loves to be in Singapore. And oh my! We get to see her hidden dance talent! Well, everyone knows that Charice can do popping and glides but she did the famous Michael Jackson crotch grabbing dance! – With that cute hat she wore… I was jumping when the beats of the song came on. It’s a pity as she was scheduled to perform for only an hour. I hope Charice Pempengco comes to Singapore for a concert or even a showcase! It’s a definite YES for me!

Right. So after the near 2 hours wait after Charice’s performance, it’s BIG BANG!! OMG! It’s so hard to snap pictures of any of the members as 95% of the fans there were all waiting for this performance and when they came on, it was screams and hand waving all the way till the end. The crowd was more responsive as compared to Charice’s performance (well, it’s 95% of the crowd afterall). When the DJ played Big Bang and 2Ne1′s songs, the crowd went wild and started singing and Rapping to all the songs played! I felt like I was in a mini concert. That’s the best part of a concert as everyone sings along and it’s so fun!

Seungri came out first with his dancers and wow.. He’s really cute in person and he really tries interacts with all the audience at all directions as he played with the stage area. His English was…. *cough* Funny! Especially during the encore when he screamed ‘This place is Awesome!’ Or something like that. Everyone was laughing so badly.

Next.. GD and TOP!!! All the yellow crown light sticks were held higher and poor short people like me had less breathing area and needless to say, much lesser VIEWING area. Therefore my pictures for GD and Top were lesser as most were blocked by hands. -.-/

Anyway, I was so excited for ‘High High’! and I bet everyone else too! We were all singing together with the duo and really had our hands up, jumping to the music. GD shouted before the song started ‘Put your F***ing hands up!’ OMG! I was shocked but hey, everyone screamed after that as we were all in the mood of really putting our Effing hands up! Go GD… U rock man! Top is so HAWT! Especially when he takes out his frame specs out! I guess most female fans like me almost died when he started beatboxing. Multi-talented! Period. Crowd shouted ‘Big Bang’ continuously and the 3 of them came back on stage with the last song! What a way to close the 1st day of the F1 concert.

Though my legs felt like they were gonna pop apart any minute, the performance by all were so unforgettable! I wish I was taller so that I could at least breathe in clean air and not armpit perspiration from the hundreds of fans combined.
