K Pop!
23 Jun
Yeah! No doubt that K culture is the ‘in thing’ right now. From the large contributions from K pop to Korean food and delicacies to K dramas. I never thought I’ll be one of those screaming fans, but unknowingly, I am.
Alright. May/June is definitely the K pop for Singaporean fans! We had Junsu from TVXQ/DBSK with his brother for a showcase. Yes. I was there at the airport with other 100+ strong screaming fan girls.
Then it was Tae Yeon from popular girl group, SNSD/ Girls Generation and her family little secret vacation to Singapore that led to a ‘Tae Yeon fan hunting session’. Well, I was at the airport, but didn’t get to say ‘bye’.
Not forgetting Super Junior who was down for a showcase and to promote the new Samsung Galaxy S phone. Well, I didn’t catch that as the ‘ticket’ was to BUY the phone. And I couldn’t imagine the airport chase. But I really wanted to listen to ‘Bonamana’ live!
Right! Then it’s Wonder Girls! It was just a few weeks back. I didn’t go for the fan meet. But again, if I had the time, I would.
Yeah! Just last Sunday, it was U Kiss Yo! Having to watch them live on the show was really an experience. What’s more, I kinda got to see them upclose. I was walking back to my office when I spotted a few tall, cute/handsome guys walking around. And yes. They had this huge ‘star aura’. I ran forward, and seeing all members squeezing into the lift. I stood there, just admiring, and kind of shock for a while.
And they really looked friendly and cheerful boys.
Yep! And B2STt will be in Singapore too! Heard they touched down today. If I’m not wrong, their press conference will be tomorrow and their showcase at Mediacorp the day after. Tickets are all sold out by the way. Even for tickets to Entertainment on 5! That’s how popular they are. Argh. Another so near yet so far case. I can’t see them this week as I’ll be out on shoot. Oh well, I heard people are going to queue overnight as tickets are first come first serve basis.
Oh! and 2am will be here in July. Tickets to watch them live are sold out too. Oh well.
Nice to see starts arriving at this small little country! Keep them coming in as this K pop fever is not gonna die so soon, perhaps another few more years. ;p
