Yep! Purple is in!

Jovis (@cassieblingout), Wenting (@energywen), aileen (@muttoncutter) and I attended the Grand Finale of Youreka by Yahoo last Saturday at SG Flyer Skydeck. And I had a blast of my time there.

Aileen was one of the lucky few who got a purple tag and competed for the CAR! The 1.3L honda Jazz! Prior to this event, contestants were supposed to find colour tags on the youreka homepage and if you are lucky to get a purple tag, you stand a chance to win the Honda Jazz. Yes! Just like that. No strings attached. Cool yeah?

The first round of elimination was a test on speed and knowing the places around SG flyer well. We were rooting for Aileen to be the top 16 to advance to the next round, but she had a stomach ache (of all times right?).  So… …

But hey! I thought the prizes Aileen won were good enough! I absolutely LOVED the hard cover purple book.

Wenting, Jovis and I then did a interview with Ogilvy regarding the event and about Yahoo. (Will update if I can find the video). LOL! Though we were TRAINED media students and had spent endless times in front and off the camera, we still felt a little… shy. But I guess it all went well. It was entertaning to listen to the craziest answers coming from your friends.

Lastly, a great thank you to the Ogilvy peeps for the warm welcome! You guys were awesome and really made my day.

To Peter, Tania, Allan and all, Great meeting you guys and once again, thanks for inviting me!

I displayed my ARTISTIC flair in design at the ‘Express yourself’ area. (Alright, minus the artistic part)

Dan and Young pumping up the event with their ever quirky and localised hosting skills. Superb duo. Done my fair share of hosting before and it’s not and easy thing man! Great job guys.

And Yes. We FINALLY took a picture with them. Wuahaha.
