A dream come true

It was a dream come true for me yesterday. Able to listen to the legendary CHARICE PEMPENGCO live on stage is a lifetime dream come true for me. It was the most awesome night ever.
I am a HUGE HUGE fan of Charice and immediately fell in love with her powerful vocals after watching the youtube video that brought her to fame today. Her first single, ‘Note to God’ is set as my message ringtone. (Please message me more often!)
Alright. Back to the amazing, wonderful, beautiful day. I am so grateful to be able to get hold of Singapore Idol final tickets and of course, to the producers of Singapore Idol 2009, THANK YOU FOR INVITING CHARICE to Singapore. 
Though I was seated far away from the stage in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, the star presence from Charice Pempengco was able to drown me. I was screaming like a small kid who seen her favourite childhood superhero. Rather, I felt like one of those Micheal Jackson fan who would cry with a single stare into the eye. Ahhhh!
Whenever Gurmit Singh or the muttons mentioned her name, I would SCREAM, jump and clap my SI clappers continuously. Honestly, I was almost in tears when Charice sang. I was so touched, mesmerized by her performance! Ying Ying who was seated beside me said this: “Ok, Flora, you are scary!” Haha. I laughed. You should have really seen that sight of me. I was literally jumping on my seat. My mind was too starstruck to really sit back and listen to her. And I definitely annoyed the people around me with my incessant screaming, jumping and standing. Oops! Sorry.
You can tell how amazing a singer can be with just listening to the roaring cheers from the audiences. After performing a medley of songs (I have nothing and I will always love you). Charice had a standing ovation by all. A unanimous agreement from a 8 thousand strong crowd. As she belted out her last few notes, the number of people getting up from their seats just kept increasing. I apparently was jumping.
Note to God was amazing. I was singing along, swaying from side to side at my seat all the way back. I even shouted “Charice! I LOVE YOU!” Haha. So not me yeah? I’m amazed at how fan-gal I can be too.
If you do not know who is Charice Pempengco and have no clue why people like me will go Crazy over her. Just check these few videos out and you’ll know why.
And yes. Needless to say, I’m buying her new album!

Then theres her “Note to God”

Then on Ellen Degeneres
And on Oprah!
Shes Just Amazing lah.
Oh. Did I mention that she is only 17 years old?! With a voice like that, the future of this girl is a priceless one. A gift from god.
And personally, I felt Sylvia should win the title of Singapore Idol. Oh well.

You mean Charice has never performed in Philippines? I kinda recalled that she went back a few times and there was even a tv show featuring her.

What a wonderful blog you have here. I enjoyed reading every word, especially since it’s all about Charice, haha. You seemed to have a blast that night watching Charice perform live. I’m happy for you. I hope I get my chance to see her live someday. *fingers crossed*
Charice (or was it her mom? not sure) said in a live chat once that they’re planning for an Asian Tour this 2010 and that Japan is one of the stops. Though this has not yet been really confirmed by her management, I hope they include Singapore in one of their stops seeing how successful her Singapore Idol guesting was.

Really?! A world tour? OMG! I can’t wait. All I know is that to purchase first row tickets to watch her is definitely WORTH IT.
WOW! You had the time of your life. A lot of people in the world would like to see and hear her live. It was proved to be so overwhelming when you hear her LIVE right?
You know right there and then that there is order and meaning in the universe when you hear her sing LIVE.
You are deifnitely lucky, BRAZIL, ITALY, DUBAI, JAPAN, AUSTRALIA,( of course yhe US eats the biggest chunck of her time now) and other parts of the world are waiting for her guesting and performances there? How come Singapore was given the chance earlier than these countries? Although she has been to Italy many times, they love her to come back and give them goosebumps.
Her album will definitely blow the world away.

Singapore Idol is considered one of the more popular and anticipated shows in Singapore. I guess we were lucky to invite her here. All thanks to the producers of the show!

But when Charice came along… WOW! Haha. I think each has their own strengths and styles of singing. My vote goes to Charice though. How about you?
to be honest, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference xD I’m not up to date when it comes to music, specially their music, and don’t know anything but the two videos of them. I’m more into rock music I think ^^

Chadditctionism – a chronic disease that infects people and severely alters their behavior, usually not fatal.
Chaddict – One who suffers from Chaddictionism.
Chasticity – A state of mind that moves one to a higher level, depending on the sweet sounds of Charice. She can bring grown men to their knees. Also known as the spirit of Chasticity.
And last but not least,
Chaster – A phrase coined by Charice herself for her super, super loyal fans whom she honors and cherishes more than we know. A Chaster will scream, whistle, shout, jump up and down for Charice, and praise her extraordinary talent to the world.

To all who are not able to hear Charice live, and also to those who want to preserve the memory of that moment:
Buy earphones to your computer. They don’t have to be very expensive. I bought a headset for internet telephone conversations so there is a microphone attached. I see that they sell for 20 dollars in the United States.
At concerts you hear Charice through a high-performance loudspeaker system. If you sit far away, you watch her at a big video screen. With earphones you sit close to the screen and see Charice about as well as in real life. And your body gets filled with her voice in the same way as if you were there. If you don’t believe me it does not
cost much to try.

Yes, I believe you, for i am living both world (Canada and U.S) Canada where i work & U.S where my fiancee live and the only thing beside me all the time is my laptop computer, the only way i can listen to CHARICE as loud as i can is by using my BLACKBERRY HEADSET in that i am not disturbing others and its working to my gateway computer, though its not live but im satiesfied the way it sounded. I don’t know if i can call myself as a chaster but i am only lurking two website the charicemania.com and charicemusic.ca all the time. Anyway, thank’s for your helpful advise…

you know in my whole life i was never fond of watching carEers of singers. not im my line of profession, in my age and in my kind of conservative family.
At least here i got the chance of showing to the world how much i love the way charice sings!!! whenever i go to youtube i always search the latest videos of her 2-3 per day plays her music in my office everyday.
i dunno whats wrong with me? im ashamed when my friends tease me that i idolize singers now. but well… thats the truth. maybe im a closet chaster. hahaha
btw, i watch alvin and the chipmunks during a last full show because i dont want to fall in line for the tickets with kids.

Such a hearty and spontaneous blog. I heard that Singapore fans really gave her one heck of a reception. When you consider that the Philippines has 7,107 islands to be exact you can just imagine how difficult it is for us fans of Charice living in the other islands who have to take a boat or plane ride just to see her live in Manila where she usually performs. So in that sense, Singaporeans are blessed to have seen her live especially nowadays when she has international commitments left and right.
About a year, I keep on repeating charice’s yt everyday. Wish to see her live once. You’re lucky gal, flo.

Charice commitments today are so heavy. Sometimes i think she has developed wings. California, Japan, New york ,. Ohio, Italy Netherlands , Back to LA… my God. !
